I started in this business in the mid-1990s the way a lot of the best operators did — with a rag and a hose, detailing cars, then on the floor selling them at an Isuzu/Kia dealership. Thirty years later I've never lost the operator's-eye view that started there.
From there it's been 30+ years in automotive retail, with deep roots in F&I — from Account Executive at Zurich North America up through National F&I Executive, then VP of F&I Operations and now COO of Zeigler Auto Group, a 40+ location, multi-state dealer group running about 2,700 people out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
I've rebuilt F&I programs from the ground up and learned that the business is won and lost in the details: process, people, and numbers that don't lie.
These days I also host Daily Dealer Live on the Car Dealership Guy network — a live show where I get to do the thing I love most: cut through the noise with the operators actually moving this industry forward.
